1. When your shipment arrives, please inspect the package before the driver leaves. Make a detailed note of any obvious damage on the delivery receipt before you sign it.
2. If you don't see any damage to the package and the driver refuses to wait for you to inspect the items, write: "Not inspected yet, possible damage" on
the delivery receipt before you sign it. This will protect the liability coverage if you find damage when you open it.
3. If you do find damage after the driver leaves, call the carrier right away to notify them of it. You need to call the carrier within 10 days of receiving your shipment if damage is found after the driver leaves.
This is to make sure that the item has full liability coverage. If there is damage and you don't make note on the delivery receipt, you lose full liability coverage and the carrier is only liable for 1/3 to 1/2 of the value, even if you find it 5 minutes after the driver leaves.
If you do have damage, please call so we can get you in touch with the carrier to start a claim.
